  • Who can join Career Network Ministry - CNM? Who should come to CNM?
    Anyone in job transition, or thinking about it, can benefit from the wide variety of workshops and services we offer. CNM is a Christian organization that provides job search advice to its members and is open to everyone of any faith background or no faith background. CNM has assisted tens of thousands of people in job transition over the last 20+ years and we warmly welcome you into our community. Our services are both virtual and in-person.
  • How do I join?
    Create a FREE Membership Account to access our member benefits. For an overview of these benefits and a link to join, click here. You can also create an account by clicking on the Member Login Avatar button at the top right of our home page. Please note: you do not need to have an account to register for our events. Once your request has been received, you'll receive an email notification with next steps. You can register for all our upcoming events and workshops here. Once you have registered, you will receive an email with instructions on how to join a workshop. If no confirmation or reminder email lands in your inbox, check your spam/junk/promotions folder. Add notifications@wixevents.com to your contacts for smooth delivery. You may also join our Meetup group to get push notifications of upcoming workshops and events. However, RSVPing on Meetup will not confirm your registration or grant you access to our events, so be sure to register on our website! We also suggest that you join our LinkedIn page where you will find job postings and helpful articles to aid you in your job search.
  • Where can I get a copy of the regularly scheduled upcoming events and their details?
    You have multiple options! You can access a downloadable and printable list of our regularly scheduled upcoming events here.   • How much does CNM cost?
    All CNM's services are provided free of charge. CNM is an all-volunteer organization, and the costs are covered via donations.
  • What services does CNM provide?
    CNM provides three programs: CNM ONLINE — Weekly virtual workshops that cover the full spectrum of the job search process. On the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month, CNM hosts well-known guest speakers, an expert in the job search area, at our 8 PM ET online meeting. We also present a quarterly Recruiters Panel. CNM LIVE! — On the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month, we offer in-person sessions at McLean Bible Church, 8925 Leesburg Pike, Vienna, VA 22182. The meetings include an opportunity for face-to-face networking, individual advice from our expert volunteers, and a guest speaker. CNM Job Search Teams — We also offer small job search accountability groups of 8-12 people for a 8-week session. The groups are facilitated by two leaders and hold each other accountable for meeting weekly goals and developing and implementing best practice steps in their job search.   • I have a job; should I still be involved?
    Anyone looking to keep their search skills sharp and be prepared for a future transition can benefit from CNM's workshops. A growing percentage of our members are currently employed and trying to stay on top of best practices in job searching.
  • Where does CNM meet?
    All CNMONLINE workshops are virtual and held over Zoom. CNM LIVE! meets in-person meets on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday evenings from 6:30-8:30 pm at McLean Bible Church, 8925 Leesburg Pike, Vienna, VA 22182. For directions, click here. Please park on the lower level of the parking deck, and enter the church through the door by the CNM sign.
  • What should I expect on my first in-person visit?
    Bring a hard copy of your resume, if you want it reviewed, and a pen and paper to take notes during your sessions. Dress is business casual. For both virtual and in-person sessions, come prepared with any questions you might have. We look forward to discussing your current status and how we can best help.
  • Is CNM an Employment Agency? Will CNM find me a job?
    CNM is not an employment agency and does not find jobs for anyone. CNM is an all-volunteer organization that teaches best practices in today's job search. CNM helps those in job search with ideas on how they can be more efficient and effective in their process.
  • Can I volunteer at CNM?
    We are always looking for more volunteers to join our amazing team. If you are in job search, we would prefer you get fully versed on our offerings in advance of volunteering. The majority of our volunteers are people who have come through our program and are now paying it forward. Please check the volunteer page of our website where you will find specific roles and fill out an interest form.
  • What is the Job Search Teams Accountability Program?
    The Job Search Teams Accountability program is a structured 8-week virtual group meeting with two optional speaker events designed to empower job seekers. Members collaborate, hold each other accountable for job search goals, and develop effective strategies for job search and career advancement.
  • When does the Job Search Team Accountability Program begin, what are the session times, and how can I sign up?
    CNM holds two series annually, typically commencing the fourth week of January and third week of September for 8 weeks with optional speaker events. In addition, a Spring-Summer series is considered each year. New members can join up to the 3rd week at the leaders' discretion and based on availability. The Job Search Teams Accountability Program offers flexible meeting options including daytime, evenings, or weekends. Our next scheduled series will start the week of September 16, 2024.
